Mitsui & Co. Asset Management Holdings Ltd. (“MAH”) was established in April 2016 as the core company for the Mitsui & Co. group’s asset management business. MAH is wholly owned by Mitsui & Co., Ltd.
Until now Mitsui & Co.’s real estate asset management business in Japan has centered on two companies. Its J-REIT business has been handled mainly by Japan Logistics Fund, Inc., which is managed by Mitsui & Co., Logistics Partners Ltd. as a REIT specializing in logistics properties, while Mitsui & Co., Realty Management Ltd. has played a central role in the private fund business, including funds targeting logistics facilities and office buildings.
The asset management market consistently attracts both Japanese and foreign investors. MAH strives to respond effectively to a variety of social needs through business, by linking real estate and other assets to investor funds. We believe that our extensive knowledge and experience in this field, as well as our ability to draw on the planning and implementation capabilities and wide-ranging resources of a long-established sogo shosha (general trading company) group, will allow us to move forward with agility to take up the challenges of managing various assets.
We are strongly aware of the importance of compliance as the cornerstone of our management infrastructure, and consistent compliance with all rules and regulations is our most basic management principle. With that in mind, by continually strengthening our business capabilities and specialized skills in the field, we aim to achieve growth and success in partnership with all of our stakeholders.
Our management and staff will work to maintain the confidence of everyone involved in our asset management business. We look forward to the continuing support of all concerned.
